He is Board Certified in Sports Physical Therapy (1 of only 2 physical therapists with this board certification in West Chester, PA) and specializes in the treatment and prevention of running-related injuries. Dr. Bair attended Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and was an Honors Program graduate in May 2008. He became a Doctor of Physical Therapy in May 2010, and at the Saint Francis University Physical Therapy Department Recognition Ceremony, he received the department’s Research Excellence Award.

Not only did Dr. Bair shine in the classroom, but he also competed as a NCAA Division 1 athlete throughout all of his undergraduate and graduate years. He was a distance runner on the cross country and track and field teams, with individual finishes of 23rd and 29th at the 2008 and 2009 Northeast Conference Cross Country Championships, respectively.

Following graduation, Dr. Bair became a satellite resident of the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness at Saint Francis University’s Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program. He completed the clinical component of his residency at Elite Therapy, PC in Mansfield, PA, where he worked with Mansfield area high school and college student-athletes. Desiring to assist other runners, Dr. Bair founded and directed Elite Therapy’s Couch to 5k Training Program and successfully directed a running clinic, ultimately forming the foundation for the FLASH™ Running Clinic.

Dr. Bair has helped countless runners and physically active individuals of all ages and abilities get back in the game or race in record time since opening FLASH PT in February 2012. Whether it is a hurt runner who has a marathon in less than two weeks or an injured lacrosse player with a slew of important games coming up, Dr. Bair has come through for these individuals time and time again.

In May 2014, he launched FLASH’s “Coaching with Dr. Ryan & Olympian Brian” with Olympian Brian Sell to help runners prepare for races of all distances.  The unique online coaching program has already helped many runners achieve their running goals, and Dr. Bair and Brian Sell are continually creating new offerings for runners around the country.

Dr. Bair lives in West Chester with his wife Mariana and their dog Mocha and cat Fourth. On the weekend, you can find Dr. Bair leading FLASH Trail Run, competing in a local trail or road race, or hiking with Mariana and Mocha in one of our area’s great preserves or state parks.
